Hi, I have some issues with bluetooth pairing, connection and stability
1. Provide detailed description of your setup:
a. What is the version of your RPI? - Pi4 4GB
b. Power supply details - 5V3A
c. Model of external sound card - Ugreen dongle (only stereo output) with 0bda:49b5 Realtek IC
d. Do you have microphone input? - Not for now
e. Details of your Bluetooth dongle. - CSR4.0 CSR8510 0a12:0001
f. Touchscreen model - using keyboard and mouse for testing purposes
2. Android Auto:
a. Which version of Android Auto have you installed on your phone? - 10.7.634234
b. Model of your phone. - LG V60
4. Steps to reproduce your issue
Fresh OpenAuto Install, I can't see the bluetooth device on my phone when going into "Phone" -> "Pairing".
I then exited OpenAuto, using bluetoothctl I was able to see my dongle but I wasn't able to scan for devices (no result), I have to physically disconnect and reconnect the dongle to make it discoverable and pair it with my phone.
When my phone is paired, it can be seen in the OpenAuto "Phone" -> "Paired devices" but I can't connect with my phone.
I then tried to connect my phone with bluetoothctl, I wasn't able to until I physically disconnected and reconnected the dongle, I then managed to connect it using bluetooth and I opened back OpenAuto. I saw the "Device xxx connected" notification and I tried listen to bluetooth music (the embedded player is outputing song in my speaker using local files on the pi) but it disconnected right away with the notification.
I tried again to connect with bluetoothctl, I had to physically disconnect and reconnect the dongle again, I did go back to OpenAuto and it disconnected on the home page...
I'm not sure if it's easy to understand but even if my bluetooth dongle is a CSR4.0 with the right device ID, I believe there is either some issue with the dongle stability or OpenAuto... I have another same dongle (ordered at the same time) that's resulting in a similar behavior.
What should I try ? I'm thinking to get another different dongle just to be sure.
Thanks you
