Hi all,
I have two BT adapters one branded ELM327 MINI and a generic non branded BT adapter, before I rush off and get another adapter I'd appreciate any guidance or correction of the process i'm following;
Setup as follows;
PI 4 B
CSR 4.0 BT Dongle
elecrow 7" touch screen
12v power via Hifi Berry AAMP60
The BT dongle is working fine, I've connected my phone va Pi no problem.
The ELM327 when plugged into the car can be seen in Pi Bluetooth but fails to connect so I've basically written that off as a duff
The generic one is seen by Pi and successfully paired, and connected to serial port /dev/rfcomm0. I've taken the MAC code and edited the openauto_system.ini OBD section as follows;
ObdDeviceType=2
ObdAdapterRfCommAddress=(the MAC address in the Pi BT interface)
ObdAdapterRfCommCannel=1 (ive tried 0 as well thinking the rfcomm0 might require this to change)
After amending the ini file I've rebooted the Pi gauges in Open Auto not working, closed OAP and check the BT connection in Pi and re invoked OAP still not working
Is there anything I've missed???
Is it the OBD2 adapter??
TIA Jason
3.2. ObdAdapterRfCommAddress=00:00:00:11:11:11
