I've gotten started with OAP but haven't made much progress. The image is burned onto the SD card and I can change settings via the touch screen but that's about it.
I can't get my phone to connect. I've looked all over the forums here but haven't found much that points me in the right direction. The YT channel is loaded with feature demos, but nothing how-to beyond flashing the image onto an SD card and a few options through the screen.
In case it makes a difference, I'm using a Galaxy Note 9 running Android 10. Here's the hardware I'm using:
Screen: UCTronics 7" Capacitive IPS screen (seems to be working well)
BT Card: TP-Link USB 4.0 Adapter (not sure if I bought something incompatible, or if I haven't set something up right)
Audio card: SABRENT USB External Stereo Sound Adapter (which I haven't had the chance to test yet)
Raspberry pi 4B, 8gb w/ 8GB SanDisk SD card
To start- how do I get my phone to connect to OAP? I only really intend to use this for navigation, music (spotify/YT music), maybe FM radio. If I like the way it's working, I might add a reverse camera. I've done a lot with car electrical systems and feel comfortable doing anything external to the Pi.
If I need to make changes to add something like a rotary encoder, where might I do that? When I stick the flashed SD card into my PC, I only see a few files that look like they're intended to be edited. Most of the programming I've done is editing 3D printer firmware, so I'm certainly not proficient with C/C++.
Thanks in advance!
