I have a Motorola G6 and I cannot get Android Auto to work. It will do the audio things, but not the video things. It seems to get most of the way there, showing me Google Maps, but as I'm watching the USB Preferences screen, I see the following behavior. First of all, "Use USB for" is set to "No data transfer". When I switch it to "File Transfer", the Raspberry Pi (Model 3B+) drops me out of Android Auto. When I select USB from OpenAuto Pro, then it connects again and shows me maps, however, the phone has switched back to "No data transfer" and the screen on the Pi is inoperable. Sometimes when I'm in this loop, I can see a message briefly appear in OpenAuto Pro that says "Unable to open matching udev device". I should note that even though the Pi is showing Google Maps, the phone is not showing anything. If I choose Android Auto (because it looks like it died) it won't launch, just flashes and closes the launch window. The Android Auto icon on the phone has the notification bubble lit up, not sure if that matters at all?
Pretty frustrating, I've spent most of this evening banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what the right procedure is to get Android Auto working.
