Connected Pro application

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
When I click on 'disconnect'  the little bell icon goes away in OAP.  So I know it's connected. 
But I have not seen any notifications,  I've been trying text, gmail, and messenger.  

I've went through battery optimizations,  notification settings in the app.   Any other places I could check?

Doesn't your Samsung device have any additional permissions regarding notifications?

I don't believe so,  if it does I don't know where they would be at.

Does look correct?  Of if there is somewhere else you would like me to check?

I accepted all the permissions when I installed the app, I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling and seeing the same thing.
Bluewave, should it say something there?

Time synchronization works for me and I also see the little bell to make sure it's connected.

Also using a RPi 3b+
Checked the permissions again and by the looks of it, it's got every permission it asked for
Sorry, it's in german but under "Erweitert" (=advanced) it says Ja (=yes) for the asked permissions while starting Connected Pro for the first time.

Note: under Berechtigungen (=permissions) it says that it didn't ask for normal permissions that some apps use, like the permission to use the camera and these "normal" permissions. Is this normal?

i am guessing the usb cable is still needed for OAP, with the app it conects ok and i can use the blue tooth for for the basic stuff applications etc but the normal screen which shows waze, reverse camera still only comes up if using the usb cable, it says connected on the phone app and all permissions are enabled

My clock is set via the GPS module,  and I don't really want to turn that off as it took me awhile to get it working.

It depends on the manufacturer. Please have a look at user manual of your phone.

@stefi What do you mean by 'only using USB cable

@Daniel_BlueWave the screen that loads on start up works great through the connected pro app, time sync's ok, applications, music but my question is that i am guessing the seperate Android Auto app that adds navigation and other apps from the phone still need a usb cable
