For those who also need a GPS,
The Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout has a built-in RTC that requires no configuration in OAP. The RTC coordinates the gps data with satellite RTC. The gpsd daemon uses this RTC to set the time on the rpi and automatically adjusts it to the localization set in the rpi configuration.
The board also includes a RTC battery slot, but you have to solder it to the board yourself. The battery backup ensures your RTC time stays updated even when your rpi is powered off.
