    Hello

I use always bluetooth audio in my car to listen to radio station with the TuneIn App on my mobile phone.
Everytime I start my car, I have now to press three times (Audio -> Bluetooth -> Play). It would be nice to have the possibility for autostart bluetooth audio like you have for storage audio.

When I used an earlier version (3.2.2) which did not have storage audio, the play button was automatically shown at the bottom bar as soon as the phone was connected.
So all I had to do was, click once on the play button at the bottom.

    Best regards,
    Roger

Automatic start of Bluetooth playback is unfortunately impossible to implement from the receiver (Raspberry PI) side. Not all phones send AVRCP data about last used media player. Some of them require starting playback manually on the phone before they will send any AVRCP data. It means that feature would work for some phones but for other it would not.

Proper way would be to use some automation app on the phone to trigger playback from desired application right after connection to the OpenAuto Pro Bluetooth.

Thank you for the quick answer.
I did not know this is not working with all phones..

I will try it like you suggested with automatically start playing from the phone.

MacroDroid is the app I use for android phone control. It works great, but need rooted phone for complete access.

Thank you skrimo for this information. Mine is not yet rooted, but this can be changed Wink

The automation I need also does not look that complicated. As soon as the car bluetooth is connected, it should start TuneIn App (app has already autoplay on start) and when the bluetooth disconnects, the app should be closed.

I will give it a try on the weekend.

MacroDroid works without root too 8).

Used it on my phone which is not rooted.

I leave Bluetooth on my phone then once i start my car the phone auto connects to the car via Bluetooth so I have set a profile under Macro to open Pandora.

Like so under Triggers/Bluetooth event/Options Device connect 'SYNC' (Name of the Ford bluetooth).
Then under Actions selected Launch Application 'Pandora' or any app you would like.

And you can also set a 2nd Profile to kill the app once bluetooth disconnects.

    The options are endless!
