Hi there,
i spent several days trying to get OpenAuto/Android Auto to work. Sadly i had no luck and need your help.
My Setup:
By default the display orientation is portrait. It is necessary to rotate the output and the touch interface by 90 degrees.
For the touch interface this was no problem. The video output is a different story...
What i have tried so far:
1. Adjusting the config.txt file:
I tried the following settings (one by one), but they were ignored and had no effect:
- display_rotate=1
- display_hdmi_rotate=1
- display_lcd_rotate=1
- lcd_rotate=1
After turning off the option: 'dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d' and adding: 'display_rotate=1' i can see the welcome screen in the correct orientation (landscape) with the text: 'OpenAuto Pro' and a loading spinner. Then the display stays black.
2. Rotating the display with xrandr:
I entered the following command in a terminal: 'xrandr -o right'. This rotates the screen the correct way. I also was able to enter OpenAuto Pro in the correct orientation. Unfortunatly Android Auto still launches in portrait mode and is basically not usable.
Do you have any ideas how i can rotate the orientation of Android Auto?
