Default Limits arbitrary?

I think every vehicle is going to be different,  the limits default in OAP are just a baseline.
I would check your owners manual and see if it states anything about operating temperatures.

I need to do the same, as I get the blinking red light too. But the factory gauge in my truck says I'm right where it needs to be.  So I just need to look up what's normal and set those parameters into OAP.

Yes, I thought the same just wanted to confirm it. Unfortunately both my owner's manual and my workshop manual don't specify a specific numbered temperature that should be the limit. My dashboard gauge is an analog one and the temp there is just in the middle.
