OAP Updates to Stretch - dreamvictim - 07-23-2019
Hi Bluewave,
Are you planning to release OAP updates for the existing Stretch OS?
I know everyone is concentrating on Buster for the RP4 but it looks like it could be sometime to iron out all the bugs. In the meantime it would be nice to enjoy the latest OAP improvements on my RP3b+ as it works perfectly and I don't plan on upgrading my Pi anytime soon.

Unfortunately, some improvements are related to new version of packages used by OAP or e.g. Kodi. They are available only in Buster. Due that backport is impossible.

I think the 3.3.2 Beta works on the RP3B+
Why stay on Stretcht unless you impacted by the bugs (e.g. poor support for screen etc)

That's the problem, I'm using composite and it doesn't work (yet). I'm sure it will get sorted.

I tried that and it does boot but Android Auto doesn't work.

I posted on Github a few days ago. The latest rpi-update from today fixes the freezing on startup using composite issue.

Yes, right. But overscan is still not working. They need to fully fix it
