Communication Error 2 - Bothjacalope - 07-09-2023
The Story
Hello! I have been interested in OpenAuto Pro for about 2 years now and have been slowly working on a head unit over that time (It should have taken a month, but Raspberry Pi supply issues..) I had gotten everything working wireless Android Auto / Wired Android auto fixed aspect ratio issues due to my non-standard display (see below). Then I set it aside for a couple of weeks back in June 2023 - when I came back to it today and attempted to set it up, I've suddenly gotten communication error 2 on every phone I try to connect to it (Wireless or Non-Wireless) - after searching this forum, I've found one other person with this issue, and they seem to have resolved it however this solution (Changing the DPI in Android Auto Settings on OAP too 200) Did not work for me and neither did the other possible solutions recommended.
What I've tried
(Im Going to refer to the Pixel 7 Pro as P7P and the Pixel 4A 5G as P4A5 To save space)
- Forgetting Bluetooth & Wifi Settings and reconnecting on both of my test phones (P4A5 & P7P)
- Forgetting Bluetooth Devices on the RPI
- Rolling back Android Auto to an earlier version on the P7P (Rolling back from Verison 9.8 to 9.4.6)
- testing Verison 9.8 with a Family Members S22 Ultra to make sure it wasn't a Pixel Specific Problem
- Turning on and off Hotspot (rebooting in between)
- Using Android Auto Dev Settings to Force the Screen to 480p mode (On both Verison 9.8 & 9.4 on the P7P)
- Setting the DPI in OAP Android Auto Settings to 200 (and Rebooting)
My Setup
- Pixel 7 Pro (Android 13 July Security Patch AA 9.8 & 9.6 Tested)
- Pixel 4A 5G (Android 13 May Security Patch AA 9.5)
- Raspberry PI 4 4GB 2020 (Verison ID 10 Buster)
- Waveshare 7.9 HDMI LCD
- UGreen Sound Card
- Panda Bluetooth 4.0 USB Nano Adapter
- Open Auto Pro Verison 16 Flashed Jun 21st
Let me know if I can if there is any other info I can provide to help solve this error - the next step I will take is reflashing the SD Card, and I will reply if it does/doesn't work - if anyone has any idea how to solve this, please let me know!
Also It wouldnt let me attach a screen shot of the error but googling "Android Auto Com error 2" will bring you right too one

Thank you for your swift response - unfortunately I have already attempted both solutions shown in this thread as you can see in my "What I've Tried" section (the two at the bottom)

Error 2 is coming from misalignment in video resolution. Please check again.
If still no success, I would suggest to re-flash the sd-card with OAP and perform factory reset of your phone.

I rechecked the Resolution to make sure it matches in OAP and Dev settings on the P7P (Including trying a couple of different options) still didn't solve the issue I will reflash my card and post a reply in a day or so! thanks again for your help
