OAP to give real time to PI - hugo1111 - 03-07-2023
Hello,
I am super happy with OAP after I managed to make it all work, voice commands still not working properly though.
My only nag is the system time for OAP to automatically switch between light and dark mode.
I don't have a RTC board so the time of the PI is different that of the phone's .
How difficult would it be for OAP to tell the PI that the real time is the one it gets when the phone is connected ? Sounds trivial ?
Or that the dark/light mode should be triggered by OAP/phone's time and not the Pi's ?
I tried this plugin that is supposed to do just that https://github.com/rizlas/open-auto-pro-sync but cannot make it work.
Anyone has a workaround for this ?

Need clarification please. I set my time zone in Raspi and have the correct time now on OAP. Rebooted and still have the correct time. OP, you don't have the correct time?

You shouldn't have the correct time if you allow it to stay turned off for say, 10 minutes. When it comes back it should be 10 minutes behind. That is, if you don't have an RTC installed and not internet connection / tether on the RPI.
