Ads11x5reader question, address? Setting up 2nd controller_service - BoostedGS300 - 05-14-2022
I am setting up a 2nd controller_service to use with my pi along with the Idrive control. I am going to use a resistor ladder/tactile button code provided with an ADS1115. I have the ADS1115 connected and the Pi sees it (good start). I chose address 0x4a, will this work? I don't see a place to assign an address in either ADS11x5reader or in the script (maybe this is not needed?).
When I run ADS11x5reader I get continual scrolling errors as if it's not seeing it. I do not have any buttons connected yet, I am trying to get everything working before I put it in the car and hook up steering wheel buttons for testing.
For the 2nd controller service, it appears that I can create this in any folder and add it to the LXDE autostart folder with the watchdog.sh for the original controller_service that is running for the Idrive controller after making it executable with "chmod +x"

Have a look at this thread https://bluewavestudio.io/community/thread-3043.html. If you are using genuine ADS11x5 there is no need to configure I2C address. Your problem looks like a wrong wiring.

I did get this working, same issue as the linked thread. I removed the jumper on the ADS1115 board indicating the address and left it at default, and it is communicating. I'm using a clone of the Adafruit breakout board for anyone reading this in the future.
