Shutdown+backup cam script confusion - JohnJohn - 12-05-2021
Hello everyone..
First i will say, i am sorry if i sound dumb, but i try to catch up! i just learn some stuff in a really weird way....
And i might be overthinking it...
I have bought and connected the exact components this guy is using, on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPQ5pLYV1TA

It works flawlessly, on the hardware side!
Now for the big BUT.. im a complete and utter jerk when it comes to "coding" and the more advanced software part..
I need to setup a shutdown script, to make the pi shut down the software when i turn off ignition.. it is an EV, so i just need it to shut off instantly..
It seems pretty basic..

and i would like to implement automatic reverse cam too.

But due to all the different setups and ways to set this up, i cant figure out which scripts to use.. they are basically a big mess to my eyes.. - I do however know to change the values of stuff and such, when i can physically see what change it does, and then "reverse-understand" it... - i know that is a tough term for some to accept, hence makes me fee ldumb already before i asked the question..
this is however, pretty new to me..
Can you guide me in the direction of which these scripts are the ones i should use?
And as a final touch - Can i use winscp on notepad++ to create the files on the root partition, rather than copy them via ssh?
