OpenAuto Pro version 12 is available - Daniel_BlueWave - 11-21-2020

We are pleased to announce that version 12 of OpenAuto Pro has been released.

Changelog:
  • Support of rotary encoders
  • Support of GPIO buttons
  • Support of PAJ7620U2 gesture sensor
  • Setting custom script as rear camera preview (e.g. raspivid or cvlc commands)
  • "Simplified" and "Sport 2" dashboard layouts
  • ELM327 communication improvements
  • Convenient setting of theme colors
  • Improvements of projection orientation with visible top bar
  • UI improvements
  • Stability improvements
  • Performance improvements

Please note that all custom OBD-II configurations (PIDs, Dashboards) need to be adjusted to work with 12.0 version.

I emailed about the update. Additionally, I emailed about an easier update process. Please let me assist with this. (Client area would be best I think)

Yes, a client area would be great.
Or even if OAP could check itself and see if there is an update and prompt the user that there is an one available. If the user selects 'update' it updates itself.

I can easily provide both of these functions if Bluewave wishes. It is their choice. In fact adding both options seems ideal. I can easily implement these features.

Hi. I ordered Open Auto Pro at about 4:09 PM on Sunday. It clearly states it could take as long as 12 hours to receive the download link. I seen it in my email at 1:58 AM. That is about 10 hours. I think that is acceptable. 
   I did just like the instructions indicated. Download zip. Unzip Image file. Copied to SD card. It booted right up. Everything seems to work so far. Nice job Bluewave Studio.

Great ! Support for rotary encoders, for the time I have been waiting for this!

I spent a lot of time trying to get them to work with an Arduino, topic here: Volume control with rotary encoder

Hope the KY-040 encoder is well supported

Thank you @Mella for the feedback.

As you can see in provided link to T-301 controller, any kind of device can be used with OpenAuto Pro. It is matter of mapping appropriate functionalities in your script.
