OAP Very Slow To Boot - robinInTheHood12 - 09-29-2020

Hi,

Just finished installing OAP in my car. However it is very slow to boot. After turning on the car, it takes a solid 30 seconds for the OAP logo splash screen to come up. Is there a way to improve this? I am running OAP on a Raspberry Pi 4b with 4gb of memory.

On Pi4 cold boot (from power on to home screen) of OpenAuto Pro should not be longer than 25 seconds. Please double check your SD. Also it might be good to check with fresh image.

It's already a brand new image I just flashed. Would overclocking the ARM help with boot times at all? Just a shot in the dark.

You can give a try with this. Users from forum tried several ways, and ssd give some seconds less.
Please remember that OAP uses regular Raspberry OS and there are pros and cons of such solution.
