AA connects but does not show on touchscreen - Tylersprice - 06-17-2020
I have OAP 8 and an rpi 4. I have tried USB and wirelessly, both connect but the touchscreen only has the 2 buttons Resume and day/night.
When I use usb cable AA on my phone says "Connected to your car" and when I go into AA on OAP it connects and shows a screen labeled "connected to Android auto" and shows 2 buttons Resume and day/night.
When I try wirelessly I get the same notification on my phone that I'm connected to my car, OAP says it's connected to AA BUT there is another notification on my phone from AA that says "looking for Android auto" and has an infinite progress bar going.
So everything says it's connected but AA never shows up on the OAP touch screen.
Hardware:
Rpi 7" official touch screen
USB BT4 adapter non Broadcom
USB sound card with mic in and RCA/3.5 mm out
Used balena etcher electron on rpi to flash OAP 8.img onto SD.
Bluetooth works correctly as I can see my contacts and recents list. Wifi hotspot works correctly and allows me to wirelessly connect to AA on my phone but the touchscreen just has those 2 resume and day/night buttons.

What sound card do you use exactly? Is it compatible with Linux? What microphone do you use? What is version of Android Auto app? Please post the output of pacmd list-sinks command. Also please try to reproduce the issue and provide log file located at /home/pi/.openauto/cache/openauto.log.
Also we recommend update to the 9.0 version. In order to get it just send us an email with your order ID at software@bluewavestudio.io.

I got it working. Clear the AA app cache and data on your phone and try again.
