Missing Option for Handedness of Traffic Left or Right - goon818 - 08-04-2019
With the new Android Auto User Interface need we a option for switch from left-hand drive to right-hand to drive.
The Button for the app is on the wrong site. I want to have it on the left site.
Please at the option. I know the parameter from crankshaft. And it works i have testet it. But i miss this in Open Auto Pro.

Do you mean right-hand and left-hand drive orientation for AA ? It is not coming from OpenAuto but from Google

I think it has something to do with the image as I use the same phone, but the orientation is different through OAP and my oem unit. Hopefully, Google will offer an option to make it easy.
What about a LHD option for OAP? It would be nice to have all of the main icons on the close side of the screen.

Sorry, not really. I have two cars. One with a oem android auto unit and one with a open auto pro.
By the car with oem mazda android auto is the button on the left side an in the car with open auto pro an the right sight.
Before i have buy open auto i used crankshaft. I know in the settings is an option to switch from left to right. And i miss this option in oap.
I have a old CF with crankshaft and i tested it. And if i switch to Right-Hand Drive, i have the app button left, how the oem car.

We will put possibility to set this option from UI level in next version of OpenAuto Pro. So far you can try to modify openauto_system.ini file directly - there is an entry HandednessOfTrafficType where 0 means left and 1 means right.

It works. I have set HandednessOfTrafficType to 1 and it show me the app button now on the left side.
