For now it is not possible to rotate the screen and use multi colored gird ( this would required some kind of calibration which seems to be hard to make as generic solution)

Some additional feedback on the beta and reverse cam :

I have installed this USB camera as a reverse cam https://www.amazon.de/dp/B072QZCH4J It is triggered automatically using GPIO. This is done via a 12V NO relay which is connected to reverse lights (well a power feed from the reverse lights fuse) - the relay connects or shorts 3.3V (from the GPIO header) to the designated GPIO pin. The solution works well both in OAP and AA.

All I needed to do to get the cam to work was to change the resolution to 1280 x 720 and set the appropriate GPIO pin (under OAP, Settings, Rear camera).

Everything else is working perfectly (custom animation at boot, BT - A2DP music streaming / phone, temperature sensor, light sensor, RTC etc.) - keep up the good work!

Just one question - will the final version be an upgrade or will it require a re-flash?

I am having an issue with the beta when re-connecting my phone in Android Auto. When first connected, everything works fine. But, if I disconnect the phone, then re-connect it, the screen is black other than the upper bar. I'm using an LG G7 phone. Raspberry Pi 3B+ connected to lcd via hdmi.

If I exit OpenAuto Pro and re-start it without re-starting the Raspberry Pi, the screen again works correctly in Android Auto.

In all previous versions I had never been able to use the phone features of OpenAuto Pro. I had submitted questions in the forum and tried many software and hardware adjustments but after installation and checkout of the new the beta version I have full phone operation! GREAT JOB! Thank you!

Hi,
Is there a keypress to enable the reverse camera and disable?

I consider sniffing the revere activation on the obd2 port...

So internal multimedia broadcom got issue with driver or what?

So which one I should get?

Does Bluetooth audio will work instead of the usb audio?

I have had problems with many of them for mic input, it seems not to work on any of the cheap i have bought - do i do something wrong?

I bought Open Auto Pro and I'm using the beta version that has support for backup cameras but mine is not displayed, I only get a black screen.

Before, I was successfully using this program: https://github.com/meekys/cam_overlay which uses V4L2 and a Rpi GPU layer to display its output.

I wonder if something like that could not be added to OAP? I tried to launch it but this is all I get:
Opened device '/dev/video0'
Dimensions: 720 x 480 Pixel Format: YUYV
* failed to add service - already in use?

Looks like mentioned software is incompatible with X11 mode. However, OpenAuto Pro uses V4L2 to display video from camera. Are you sure that your dongle is supported by Raspbian Buster?

I have also a video grabber, and i get this error:
http://gstreamer-devel.966125.n4.nabble.com/v4l2src-does-not-support-interlace-video-td4667494.html

D
oes not support progressive interlacing.

However i can open the video perfect in vlc in raspian...

Any ideas?

I am using OAP version 3.3.2 RC1. When I try to connect to AA through hotspot, pressing OK throws OAP back to raspian. I have to start it again. theatherd to the phone works OK. Is there some configuration I have wrong

RE: New beta version OpenAuto Pro 3.3.2 b2 is available - stefi - 11-29-2019

i think i will wait for next release maybe, i dont see any diference from the before the 2 beta versions

RE: New beta version OpenAuto Pro 3.3.2 b2 is available - stefi - 12-02-2019

will there be a 3rd beta or is it more likley that the official 3.3.2 version will follow and if it does then would we have to reflash yet again if we had a beta version or would there be a upgrade link?
