Try these three scripts.
mute.py
#!/usr/bin/python
import subprocess
subprocess.call( "amixer -D pulse set Master 1+ toggle", shell=True )
lower_volume.py
#!/usr/bin/python
import subprocess
subprocess.call( "amixer -D pulse sset Master 5%-", shell=True )
raise_volume.py
#!/usr/bin/python
import subprocess
subprocess.call( "amixer -D pulse sset Master 5%+", shell=True )
Then make the files executable.
Then in KODI find a code that lowers and rises volume with pushbuton in left bottom corner and change them to execute scripts. But this as far as I can tell you. I we tried a bunch of things but cannot get KODI to run OS scripts with buttons.
For example :
I would like that with a push of a Navigation button, kodi would pause all playing content and start android auto if phone is connected. And if phone is disconnected that it would go back to kodi and resume paused content. And/Or that "return to oap" button in AA would bring me straight back to kodi and resumig paused content.
That for me is headunit like experience, not to have to press a bunch of buttons to get to the desired thing.
