Citroen C5 MK1

Post by czarnasm » Fri Mar 15, 2019 1:49 pm

Hello guys. I would like to show you my project which is in alpha/beta version :D. My car didn't have a place to sit a 7" screen, so I had to fill the holes with fiberglass and later putty. Here you have some photos.

Thanks for sharing your project. Is there enough place for RPI or you have to keep it in the glove box?
Did you redirect air ventilation or it is blowing on the back of the screen?

For now there is no ventilation because it's not necessary to have it in the middle. There is enough place behind the screen, but radio has to be in the passenger compartment.

I finished for now :).
Everything works and I installed two usb ports in the ashtray for charging phones :)

It was really hard to drill holes for buttons and as you can see they are not fitted :/
In my opinion 3d printing is necessary in such projects.
Last thing to do is to run the wires to steering wheel where is radio control.
