Multiple Audio Issues with latest update

Post by Chrisfromwa » Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:56 am

Hello,

I'm noticing some odd issues with the latest update of OAP.

1 If I have my USB mic plugged in, I won't get any audio until I unplug it.
Once unplugged, the audio starts working and if I plug the mic back in it will continue to work. (until the next reboot and I have to do it again.

I have this USB Mic
https://www.amazon.com/Lavalier-Microph ... way&sr=8-1

and a HIFI Berry DAC+ for my sound card.

2. I've noticed that when the audio is working, I cannot adjust the audio via the OAP slider. By default it's at 0, and if I try and raise the slider goes back to 0. But if I change the volume from within Raspbian the audio changes volume like it should.

are there other setting that I should make, or any troubleshooting?

USB Mic that you mentioned has also the headphones output that probably takes over control of the audio stream.

The issue is just coincidence because nothing related to the audio subsystem changed in 3.2 version. If you did the reflash, did you also restore your previous configuration properly? It looks like setting your HiFi Berry DAC as default audio output is missing.

Also regarding the slider issue, it looks like OpenAuto Po was less lucky than the Raspbian slider during connection to the system mixer. The problem looks the same as https://bluewavestudio.io/forum/viewtop ... f=13&t=474

I updated my OAP without the reflash, the Mic is newer but I thought it worked before.
How do I go and set the HIFI Berry DAC as the default audio output?

Looks like you had this setup before, so just do it in the same way.

If you do not know how to configure HiFi Berry in Raspbian OS please contact them directly.
