I am fairly new to the raspberry pi world. How do I install OpenAuto?

There is OpenAuto open source version - free of charge, and OpenAuto Pro version - paid. To which one do you refer?

For open source here is the description:

Here for OpenAuto Pro:

Please note that open source version is maintained by nobody. Our main focus is on the OpenAuto Pro version (bug fixing, maintain, improvements).

I guess for now the free version and in the near future I would go pro. Either way, I am still learning about Raspberry Pi's.

Please remember that in Android Auto crashes after few seconds in the open source version. So far there is no solution provided by users for this.

On the other hand there is no issue with AA in the OpenAuto Pro.

To get the OpenAuto free version to work in it's current state, all you need to do is follow the instructions here:
https://github.com/f1xpl/openauto/issue ... -460660466

It takes a few minutes, then you recompile OpenAuto and it works once again. If you need more help fixing it, drop me a message (there are other options to fix the function, but commenting it out does the job).
