Hello,
OpenAuto 2.0 communicates directly with the MMI 2G bus. Skin is integral part of the OpenAuto 2.0 that is still under development. We are working hard to release it as soon as possible so stay tuned :) .

I'm waiting :D
I have a Audi A4 with MMI 3g plus. I hope this work. Is the 2g control unit also working serial?
I see one problem on the mmi3g plus... This mmi have standart a "Video in" connector. If i go to media menu(aux in ,sd card, video in...) and join video in and i turn on the weel, than jump back to the media menu for 2 seconds.

I hope OA is coming soon than can i test it.

In case of Audi, for now, we support only MMI 2G HIGH.

There is also a plan to extend way of controlling UI of the OpenAuto Pro which should be useful in your case. Stay tuned.

Hi
I have a Audi A4 B8 MMI 2G High, I allready have a analog video adapter working so I can get analog video to my screen (image attached)
* What is needed to control OpenAuto via the MMI buttons?
* Will my steering wheel controls also work in OpenAuto?

You would need TTL logic converter.
Will my steering wheel controls also work in OpenAuto?
So far OpenAuto Pro supports only MMI buttons panel.

Ok... so there is no "ready to install" device for this? What kind of install is required to connect this?
I miss some detailed instructions/info on the subject and I did not do a lot in my car besides installing this "multimedia adapter" and add a touch screen plate on top of my existing displey. I used this to add touch interface to a Android stick, but it never really worked 100%.

Ok

For me at this point I am still unsure if I want to get into this "project", need to look for more info so I have the details/parts I need to make it work.
(help appreciated)
