Re: What would you expect more from OpenAuto Pro?

Let us know what are yours expectations and wishes regarding OpenAuto Pro new features :) It's been a couple weeks since you posted this topic here, and on the Crankshaft Redit group. Are any of our thoughts for features being considered? I think it would excite the community if there was more disc...

Re: What would you expect more from OpenAuto Pro?

However, what I would like is the ability to have a video/gif displayed during boot like the ones in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcb-software-development/mod-boot-animation-toyota-t3351617 but I haven't figured out how to do it... I know it's a built in feature in Ret...

Re: Installation Help

So today ran into a roadblock, and I think the whole recommending to not use the USB cable and using the GPIO pins instead needs to be reconsidered. I was testing out my project, and was starting the car. But my PI was almost booted up, just got past the Blue Wave logo, then everything went dark. Th...

Re: What would you expect more from OpenAuto Pro?

Great project overall, do you guys think is possible to implement a screen that stays on until the software is up and running? So we don't see raspbian loading the auto runs? Thanks X2 on this, would really make the whole implementation a little more clean and professional. Also, is there a way to ...

Re: OpenAuto Pro with Welle.io

That is surprise for us, but you are right. DAB is not available in the USA. We have plans to provide solution for FM radios. It looks like we have to make some research about radios frequencies and technology in the USA, as it is different than in Europe. Thank you for the notice Happy to hear the...

Re: What would you expect more from OpenAuto Pro?

A few more items I thought of :) 1. Integrate with OEM steering wheel controls: Not sure how difficult this is, but it would be nice if the software knew how to interpret buttons presses from major Auto manufactures (Toyota, Honda etc). 2. Able to handle phone calls/contact lists through bluetooth: ...

Re: OpenAuto Pro with Welle.io

and does this work with radio in the United States? I'm a little confused about that when reading up on DAB Edit: Looks like it does not, so this Wlle.io isn't an option for your US customers? From wiki DAB is not used in the United States. The United States' FCC argues that stations on such a natio...

Re: OpenAuto Pro with Welle.io

Cool, looking forward to trying this out
Is there a dongle you recommend that you've had good performance with?

Looks to be a ton of different types out there? How about AirSpy?
Not really sure what the difference is between all of these.

Re: What would you expect more from OpenAuto Pro?

Thanks again for an awesome product, and the opportunity to give feedback. Here are some items that I would love to see. 1. AM/FM radio support: I know you guys are working on something and really hoping you have something to release soon. This is an item that would really make OA Pro a full headuni...

Re: 1984 Camaro Headunit replacement

No I don't currently, this is a car I only drive about 3 times a year so I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
I've had it running on the bench though and hadn't noticed any abnormal heat from it though.
