Interesting. Are you able to test your setup with a different screen ? Could be that the voltage drops and is not stable, therefore Rpi cuts off USB ports, this leads to disconnection of the phone.

I am going to try in the next couple of days. I found out (via the maker of the screen) that the RPi needs 5V 3 amp minimum to support the screen. I will do some measurements and come back to you.

Mij conclusion is also that the Wisecoco screen is consuming to much power in 'day mode' of the navigation screen (too bright white). Unfortunately you can't adjust the brightness of the Wisecoco screen. So I keep mij navigation screen in night mode. My advise to others is to buy te 'same size of screen' from the brand Waveshare because this screen has the ability to adjust contrast en brightness ( https://www.waveshare.com/5.5inch-hdmi-amoled.htm ) Other things are working perfect. I had to install a ground loop filter to get rid of noise in the audio signal. thanks for your support regards Maarten |
