Greetings,
I am having some trouble getting my rotary encoder button to work. I have it setup in the controller service to have volume up, down and mute when pushed. Volume controls work, but I don't get anything from the button push. I have tested the encoder to verify continuity when pushed, I even tried with my breadboard to set the GPIO pin to ground and still got no results. These are the ones I ended up getting, I didn't want the breakout board ones as I'm trying to mount it in a tight space and this fits better.
I am using a CarPi Hat, so my GPIO pin selection is limited, but here is the code that I have for the controller service:
Can anyone tell me/explain to me where I messed up, whether its the rotary encoders themselves or my controller service?

[Controller]
Type=5
[RotaryEncoder]
SiaPinNumber=5
SibPinNumber=6
SwPinNumber=16
LeftKeyStrokes=F7
RightKeyStrokes=F8
SwitchKeyStrokes=Ctrl+F11
