    Hello All,

    Parts List:

    Raspberry Pi4 + 7" display
    CarPiHat (loaded with OpenAuto)
    4*4 Molex nano-pigtail connectors
    1*6 Molex nano-pigtail connectors

    The car is a 2015 Kia Forte5

I'm having a hard time with designing a pinout to work with the hat Sad . I've attached the pinouts for the Car and Hat.

I'm kinda new to all this. If I could get some assistance with creating the connections, that would be great.

    Main things I'm looking for:

Main loom hookup? (not sure what's included on that 6 pinout pihat)
    Speaker Audio (Bluetooth to phone)
    Vehicle Speed

    Nice additions:

Steering wheel controls (skip & volume)
    GPS

    Kia
    CarPi

So on the carpi hat. The main connections you'll need to use just to get it working are the +12, +12 switched and ground. Are you completly replacing your stereo with OAP? If so, I would look at Crutchfield and see if they have a wiring harness for your car. That way you can just plug it into the facotry harness and then you won't need to cut any wires in the car. That's what I did.

Steering wheel controls are a whole different thing, not related to the carpihat.
For my 4Runner, the steering wheel controls had 2 wires for all the buttons, and uses a resistor ladder. I use an Arduino to convert the analog voltages to keyboard presses. There are a few threads on the forum that go over this. For your car you'll need to figure out how it works OEM and go from there.

Here is a long thread I created where I got help getting mine going.

Vehicle speed. You'll need a OBDII bluetooth adapter. Get a good one, many of the cheap ones you see on Amazon send data too slow.
GPS. Honestly I haven't found a reason to use it. But you just need a USB GPS dongle and it pretty much works from what I can remember.
