OB2 gauges are overlapping

I have a 12.3 wide screen with nice Android Auto display and nice OPA home screen proportion. however, when I display the obd2 dash, the gauges are overlapping each other. how can I control the size? also, how can make it split screen in OPA where one side is all the OPA home screen and other side with gauges?

You need to enable widescreen layout in /home/pi/.openauto/config/openauto_system.ini file. Normal layout is not supported on widescreens.

so the OBD2 gauges can only look proportionally correct using split screen setting for widescreen?
