I have been looking to re-enable the pi's internal sound card.
Current setup:
RPI 4b 2gb
Bluetooth:Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) (as I have one)
Phone Samsung Note 9
Screen: waveshare 7 inch.
Sometimes knowing the use case helps explain the issue. I have a car radio which is very basic but it has Bluetooth and steering wheel controls. I was hoping to keep this Bluetooth connection to the car. This allows for picking up calls, music etc...
To my knowledge to get wireless AA you need the audio working otherwise it hangs.
I have been looking through previous posts and there is a guide from 2019 but the files it asks to modify have 0 byte size (/etc/modprobe.d/raspi-blacklist.conf).
I have however been able to change the /boot/config.txt
My config.txt
# Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835)
dtparam=audio=on
dtoverlay=disable-bt
disable_splash=1
dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d

In order to re-enable internal sound card you must do:
1. edit sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/raspi-blacklist.conf and comment (#) or remove blacklist snd_bcm2835
2. edit /boot/config.txt and (if exists) comment (#) or remove dtparam=audio=off and then add dtparam=audio=on line
Please note that microphone input is mandatory (even if you do not use it) and OpenAuto Pro may not work as expected without it.
