    According to logs

    There is no connection to the iDrive controller. It might be caused by wiring, can bus module or incompatible iDrive controller. Did you follow our guides about wiring iDrive controller to the can bus module carefully?

    I am using carpihat and to the best of my knowledge it is connected properly. I have the version with more than four wires, I used a diagram I found online to determine the pinout which was similar to what you provided. It's the same one Gecko242 was using. 

    Could you provide any clue or direction as to how I might be able to troubleshoot the can bus module? It is possible my iDrive controller is defective as well, I purchased it used.

    I had already received this email prior, I looked over it again and the wiring doesn't apply to my controller.

    I am going to order another controller to be sure, it's possible mine is defective and troubleshooting up to now hasn't revealed any problems. I will update after I get a new unit and try again.

    Please post picture of your iDrive controller and its socket. It is needed to use only CAN and power pins of the controller (others remain not connected). Just in case try to apply wiring instructions we sent you and check if that works.

    Please see the attached image for a picture of my controller socket. I will try with your wiring diagram just in case, but my colors don't match and wires for pins 4/5 are twisted pair which leads me to believe that's CAN.

    I owe everyone an apology for not trying the Bluewave suggested wiring diagram. It did indeed work. I saw a lot of posts on other sites showing CAN as pins 4/5 and different wire colors but apparently that's not applicable here.

    Thanks Bluewave studio for making this incredible software, and the great support.
