3. Steps to reproduce your issue
Set the brightness slider anywhere you want, say about 25%. Then manually set the brightness via CLI to some other value, say 255. The slider will still show the 25% position you slid it to instead of 100% (the current value of 255 in /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness).
