I am using a generic numberplate light reversing camera, which has been plug and play via v4l2 setting within OAP. This camera is wired using a generic video grabber, and works fine!
My issue is, there is a small delay of around 4 seconds between the reversing camera screen opening when clicked, and the camera feed starting.
The camera is always powered, so does not need time to "power up" like a reversing light powered camera. Is there a way to have the camera "always turned on", to get rid of this startup delay? I assume this is the v4l2 process starting that is delaying the video showing.
I imagine this would need to be a custom script, but advice would be appreciated.
