Hi all, just adding my experience (plenty of mistajes for an audio noob) with this amp. I originally made the mistake of buying a mono 3.5mm Jack and wired it to a connector that fit either input 1 or 2 to this amp. It worked but of course only for one speaker. I found cut and soldered a stereo 3.5 Jack and got both speakers working. I also had 2-way speakers… only to discover they have virtually no bass (I understand now that 2-way means they have high and mid-range only) and sounded very tinny. I am not going for a booming sound system but I want it to sound nice with just 2 6.5” speakers (this is for a 1970 Beetle resto and electric conversion). So I bought a pair of Pioneer 3-way speakers that sounded perfect in Best Buy. These sound much better than the 2-way speakers but still not great... certainly not as good as in the store. I’m beginning to think it is this Amp and to get the best from these Speakers I need an amp with 70 watt RMS per channel (now I understand that means continuous/sustained watt output and not the 50 watt max per channel thus amp supports.. I’ll try another amp and report back.
