1. Provide detailed description of your setup:
System requirements:
a. What is the version of your RPI? 4B
b. Power supply details -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KWRH61D
c. Model of external sound card -- Allo Piano 2.1 although currently disconnected
d. Do you have microphone input? No
e. Details of your Bluetooth dongle. -- None
f. Touchscreen model -- Official Raspberry Pi Touchscreen 7 inch
3. Plugin CarPlay Autobox (optional)
a. dongle name (and link to the shop if possible) -- CPC200-Autobox (purchased from Amazon last year -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FG421Y7/ -- but that link now shows an updated model CPC200-CCPA)
b. iPhone and iOS version -- iPhone 7 iOS 15.7
4. Steps to reproduce your issue
I had originally setup my project with a Raspberry Pi 3B+ (boots off SD card) and OAP 14.0. Autobox worked fine. I upgraded to OAP 16.0 and Autobox still worked fine. Later on, my RPi 3B+ CPU started running extremely hot so I replaced it with a Raspberry Pi 4B and now boots off USB SSD. I made an image of the SD card from the 3B+ and loaded it on the SSD for the 4B. Now when I try connecting to Autobox, nothing happens. The status icon does display in the top bar. I tried reflashing the SSD with a clean OAP 16.0 and 14.0 with no change in results. Booting off the existing SD card also does not connect. I loaded Android in a VM to check for firmware updates and applied the latest available (went from 2021.05.06.2039 to 2021.08.30.1821). I wondered if my dongle had gone bad when the 3B+ started running hot, but when I connected my phone to the Android VM with the dongle, CarPlay was presented just fine. It still doesn't load with OAP and the latest Carlinkit firmware.
In dmesg, I see the Auto Box vendor and product IDs to be different than what's in my config file. When I change the config file to match, then the Autobox icon no longer shows up in the top bar of OAP and I still cannot get CarPlay to present. Also, in the iPhone Settings -> General -> CarPlay, I do not see Autobox-OAP as an available vehicle even when the phone is plugged into the dongle.
Are there any other troubleshooting steps to take to see what might be causing this?
