Try to change resolution of the screen to the one with 16:6 aspect ratio. OpenAuto Pro wide interface is aligned to resolutions with such aspect ratio, e.g. 1280x480, 1920x720. Also please note that Raspberry PI GPU supports H264 hardware acceleration (Android Auto use that) up to Full HD resolution. It will not work with 4K.

Well thats not that easy, it's generally not that easy to set a custom resolution on raspberrypi, as far i know and additionally it would scale also wrong again, most likely in every other programm except android auto, or it would show huge black bars. I've now tried to make the sidepanel (where music and stuff is shown) 50% which works (except that Albumcovers are much larger and the controls wonder even more off the screen) perhabs a solution would be a max height in pixels for the albumcover (maybe in the configuration.ini). Then i would have a 1920x1100 screen, but in Android Auto the sidepanel disappears and so it's again too wide. I would love an option to turn off scaling, it should just show an 16:9 or whatever aspect ratio android auto wants and make the rest in black bars, like in most vehicle infotainmentscreens. It's not really a 4k screen, just the width is like uhd but the height is almost like fhd, from the bandwidth it's almost the same as wqhd.

We did not face any issues with changing the resolution for various screens. In order to change the resolution please follow below steps:
1. Modify /boot/config.txt file - add below line at the end of the file:
2. Restart Raspberry PI 3. Execute sudo raspi-config command 3.1 Go to Display options->Resolution->Select you custom resolution (it should be at the bottom of the list) 3.2 Confirm selection and restart Raspberry PI 4. Resolution should be changed now to 1920x720

What Raspberry PI version do you use? According to your config.txt file, hdmi_cvt will be set for Pi4 only.

I do use the Raspberry Pi 4B, i moved the hdmi_cvt up to where it counts for every raspberry, but still doesn't work. config.txt (Size: 1.75 KB / Downloads: 302)

So it looks like you must adjust HDMI timming manually, accordingly to screen parameters. More details can be found at https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio...-config.md
