Hello,
Is there a way to customize the action of the brightness slider. I understand that this slider is working perfectlly if we use a Raspberry display, but in case we use HDMI display it's not working at all.
Normally most of the HDMI displays are using the DDC(Display Data Channel) which can be used to control the brightness pretty easy. In fact in Raspberry there is a tool called ddcutil whcih is doing this very easy with just sending a command with the needed brightness level.
The problem I have is that the action of the brightness slider is hardcoded and we cannot assign the correct interfaces which can control the needed Display brightness. Even more, I believe also the light sensor can be used to control such displays the same way it is doing with the Raspberry display.
At the end from my point of view it seems it's a matter of configuration of the display to be added, so the OpenAuto Pro can decide which interfaces to use for controlling the brightness(currently used ones for Raspberry display or ddcutil provided interfaces whcih are common for most of the HDMI displays).
Can you tell me if there is an easy way to do this by myself?
PS: I also saw that there was a topic(Custom Brightness slider output) without answer mentioning another way of brightness control(maybe this could be third option)
Thank you.
