There are a few of us, who really would like to get FM radio within OAP.
For those times we don't want to mess with connecting to our phones, or if someone else is driving they can still just get in and list to something.
The whole nameatek dongle was a bust, looks like they went out of business.
Looks like that leaves an an RTL/SDR, I know in the past @Bluewave you've said they are resource heavy. Have you done any testing of these on a Raspberry PI 4 yet? Just wondering if the additional CPU/Ram of the PI4 has helped and could make this an option now?
If it does work better, will there be any chance of you guys coming up with some tuning software that works within OAP? Similar to how the Bluetooth, and dashboard gauges are built in? Would love to see something that is seamless like a real head unit.
I really want to add OAP to my daily driver, but the lack of FM radio is stopping me from moving forward.
Hoping you could reconsider and take another look at FM radio for those in the US.
