It would be great if autoapp would monitor for known IPs of the previous phones (WiFi mode) and if found any, then connect to AA server automatically.
I configured WiFi AccessPoint on my AA RasPi according to this post: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt...30#p938306
My phone is configured and connects automatically to the RasPi AP and I can navigate to AndroidAuto->Recents and click on IP of my phone.
Would it be possible to add some checkbox in Recents list for an automatic connection with my phone? It could send a ping every 1s (or some more sophisticated way) to check if device is connected. If host has been found, then try to connect to a server. If it couldn't connect, but e.g. it was working before, software could show 'Found known host, but most probably AndroidAuto server is disabled'
What do you think?
I was looking at OpenAuto and modifying Qt sources by myself (10y Qt experience here), but unfortunately touch works only in paid version to me, not in free OpenAuto.
