I have ran this system for about a year on a pi4 4gb with no issues. But this year I changed by design to run a pi 400 and after a few weeks of use my GPIO pins get stuck low. So now when I turn on my vehicle the PI will boot but after the programmed amount of time it turns its self off, with the ignition on. I tried switching PI's and it happened to me again mid drive. Has anyone else experienced this?

What steps are you taking to determine that your GPIO pins are stuck Low?
The diagram at the beginning of this thread looks very similar to the diagram to another thread https://bluewavestudio.io/community/thread-1391.html. The only difference is that while this one is tied to the battery, the other one gets it's 12V power input to the timer from IGN, and there are a couple diodes to isolate the battery power from the ignition power. I'm using a similar circuit, other than the fact of using an external relay, I use an optoisolator. Perhaps the internal pull-up resistors on the Pi have failed? As an experiment, tie a 1K resistor between 5V and the GPIO pin. That will hold it high all the time, until the relay contact closes, pulling it low. See if that keeps it from shutting down. Maybe somehow 12V touched the GPIO pin?

I have gone into the script and ran it manually with the ignition on, and it prints there is no input signal and will start the shutdown procedure. I will try that test and see if I am able to correct this error.

I meant to say tie the resistor between 3.3V and the GPIO pin.

I have finally tested this setup on my bench via my new cars fuse and relay panel etc.
I bought a 10minute timed relay from aliexpress(mentioned somewhere in here) instead of the timed relay board. It seems to work great! ... I set the python delay to 9 minutes and it shuts down clean and then power is fully cut at 10minutes. Will see how it all works once in my vehicle ... thanks again! Edited code to also turn the display on and off with the ignition state.

Hi, I wanted to turn off the screen and mute the sound (music) when the ignition turned off. With the code below, the screen turns off, but unfortunately the sound does not mute. If I use the amixer command in the terminal or if I make a separate python script with it, it does work. How can I fix this issue to mute the sound?
