Hello all,
I apologize if some of this has been answered, but I've spent the last day and a half lurking and still confused.
I'm in the car stereo industry, and an experienced programmer and hardware tinkerer, but new to OpenAuto and Raspberry PI. In fact I'm using Open Auto as an excuse to get into Raspberry.
I'd love some advice on the best hardware to start with. I plan to buy Pro if it makes it easier, but would love opinions on the most robust (least buggy) hardware to start with.
For instance: I don't mind paying for performance, but not if it's buggy. I see there's now support for Raspbery 4, but which board am I better off starting with? Which particular board is best for performance with no sacrifice in reliability?
Screens: I'd really like to use a 10in screen, all that I've found so far are odd resolutions (not 720P or 1080P). Any recommendations for a 10in screen that works well with OpenAuto Pro?
Also, any recommendations on "getting started" material would be welcome. I've read through the users guide twice and about 100 threads here, but still wondering if I'm missing a lot.
Thanks you very much. I do car stereo for a living, so I have the ability to do a lot of experimenting, and really hoping to be able to contribute in the near future.
