Hi all
I've got OAP running on a 3B+ with the official touch screen. I've noticed that performance is degraded significantly when running something like the web browser and wondered if there's anything I can do to mitigate this? Are there processes that might get run by default that could be closed?
I tried running RPi Cam Web Interface to build my reversing cam but it's so slow it's unusable.
Just as an aside, I added a button to the applications dashboard that runs raspivid - t 6000 so you get the camera preview over the top of OAP for 6 seconds - probably enough to check how close you are to the car behind. That seems to work really well so the lag doesn't seem to be the video processing but all the stuff necessary to run RPi Cam (Apache, php, etc).
Cheers
Andy
