So here is my issue, I have OAP with a RPI 3B+ and the official RPI touchscreen. I am powering it with a good Anker car charger. When it is just the RPI and screen, all is good. As soon as I plug my Note 9 into the RPI via USB I get the low power icon. I have tried powering the screen off of another charger and the RPI off of a seperate one in case it was the charger but I get the same issue when my phone is plugged into the RPI.
Is there any way to fix this for power hungry phones? I was thinking about seeing if I could disable charging on the phone but then my phone would die when I am using it with OAP on long trips as this OAP setup is in my Sprinter van conversion, hence there is no such thing as a short trip.
Connecting to OAP over wifi would be an option I guess but I have not been able to get that to work either. My OAP and phone both connect to a Verizon Jetpack wifi and I have isolation mode turned off on the Jetpack so in theory it should work as they should be able to talk to each other but it still does not connect.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jesse
