I got an SDR to test out and play with. I was also hoping the rpi4 would be good enough, but worst case I would build a system that could switch hdmi posts (one for OpenAuto and one for a Radio). I don't need both at the same time.

Sweet, let us know how it goes?? Is there any RasPi compatible software that can tune FM stations just floating about already?

They are produced and shipping already, but to avoid problems with customers the money got refunded immediately back then. Units are in stock now.
Support is available for Linux, Mac and Android (the applications will be updated within the next days).

I'm only indirectly associated with Namatek, I have forwarded the PM to the person in charge at Namatek.
If this receiver is okay we can also look forward to automotive DAB/DAB+/FM/.. receivers.
we have a custom Qt based application so far but for interfacing purpose we'll provide a python library in the next days.
