I would like to see rearview cam with support for raspicam.
A keyboard shortcut to turn on off would be great. Haavard Norway

@Bluewave I am unable to see any of the pictures that were attached to the posts in this thread. When I click the picture attachment a new tab open but nothing ever displays. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this issue? I am using an iPhone on the latest release of iOS with the chrome browser.
I'll add to the camera support requests.
One of the reasons why I'd eventually like the option for something other than the RPI is because eventually I would like to add not just a rear-view (activate on reverse) camera, but have a DVR of both the front and rear camera feeds. With support for at least a 2k 6-fps camera resolution over USB. I don't think the RPI has the USB bandwidth or the CPU power to keep up with multiple continuous camera feeds and maintain smooth audio for A2DP or AA. If you really want to go pie in the sky, take multiple incoming wide-angle camera feeds through OpenCV and stitch them together into a bird's eye view, while also DVR'ing the wide-angle distortion post-processed camera feed so that you have the ultimate dashcam and parking aid. I know there are several projects in the Udacity Self-Driving car nanodegree that could potentially be more fully fleshed out into proper DIY features. But support for just a single camera triggered by a reverse signal would be good starting point. Pretty sure this is due to the forum migration, hopefully the old images get fixed because several of them in the projects thread were useful.

I think that cpu temperature would be great if it was on drop menu where clock is.

@DemonDio those cameras together with OAP, and AA will kill the RPI. Even now, we spend most of the time on performance optimizations. Single camera is possible - we have some prototypes and this will be available soon.
Picture are corrupted due to migration. This will be fixed. @skrimo Would CPU temperature bring any useful information? In top menu there is clock, temperature, BT information... do you think that one more thing is good idea?

why not
It would be reasonable for me to know the cpu temperature. why? becouse Im using 12V thermoswitch that controls 120mm fan behind the pi. https://arduino-shop.eu/arduino-platform...-110c.html and knowing the temperature of CPU would help me set the on/off temperature level switch. so i dont have to go into the terminal and writing "show cpu temperature" maybe just make it chusable in settings menu.

I think an option for CPU temp somewhere in the settings would be nice to have, just to see if issues start to happen, you can see if the CPU temp is a factor.
But I don't think it's really needed to be displayed at all times in the nav bar. Maybe within the settings, there could be a section for CPU temp and other PI related readings/settings?
Do you have a passion for cars?
Then create a page for it at Car Audio Central A great place to document and share your OpenAuto Pro projects.

Sounds good, we will put it on our TODO list. Also we will have a look at other "diagnostic" data that might be useful.

with the new 3.3.2 beta version I noticed there is a splash image/video. perfect and it now really gives better headunit like feel.
my suggestion would be that you had car logo feauture. for instance I have KIA, and that splash screen would show KIA logo, OAP logo, AA logo. or is that car licence problem? |
