We did not notice any conflict with internal Bluetooth adapter, but you can switch to the /dev/ttyS0 port for testing purposes. Also it might be useful to disable internal Bluetooth adapter for the phase of setup MMI panel. You can do it by executing Regarding the NAVI button - OpenAuto Pro will read signals from the MMI panel only when NAVI screen is activate (marked by a red backlight). If it is possible, please check the manual of your video adapter to adjust the behavior of the Navi button.

Hi radexon, I read you found the solution. Can you explain what you did? Yesterday I fitted my openauto pro into my car, Everything works, I can see the video and I can listen to the audio, but MMI keyboard dosn't work at all. I connected pin 16 to the RX pin of my serial adapter. It seems it works fine but even if I use the buttons and I can see the led on the serial adapter flashing (like it's receiving data) openauto remains always on the main screen. I installed minicom software on my raspberry to check if the serial adpater receives data and I can see it receives data like on the photo I attached. If I connect pin 16 to TX of the serial adapter the MMI buttons doesn't work at all and it turn off itself. Using the minicom software on the raspberry I can see the data only if I set the serial adapter to 9600 as speed. Is there any configuration I need to set? The second doubt I have is regarding the video/audio interface: Do you think I could use this TV simulator instead of a video/audio adapter? I forgot to tell you that I tried 2 different serial adpters: The second one is selected as /dev/ttyS0 and the first one is selected as /dev/ttyUSB0 as indicate from the result of the dsmeg command.

OpenAuto Pro will grab signals from MMI panel only when you are on the NAV screen. It means you have to press NAV button when OpenAuto Pro is up and running to be able to control the interface using MMI buttons panel.

I understand that. To be honest I did the following steps: 1. turned on OpenAuto pro; 2. selected NAV button without the DVD maps; 3. pressed the buttons on the keyboard but nothing happens (while I could see the NAV screen). 4. selected the Video IN of the Fiscube to see if something was selected on OpenAuto but it seemed everything was on the same page. I selected the settings screen of OpenAuto using a mouse and pressed twice the button to return on OpenAuto with no results. Anyway, to be sure 100% I've just bought the video adapter from VNS media, just only the video adapter as I already got the AUX input and I will let you know once arrived in May. Thanks very much for your reply. P.S. Is there any method to see the mouse pointer on Openauto pro? I can see the mouse only if I close OpenAuto.

According to interface value you are using RS232 adapter connected to the built-in UART controller? Did you enable on-board UART controller in raspi-config tool? By default it is used to output console data that may interfere with your RS232 adapter. Also according to previous post, buil-in UART controller may be pointed by two descriptors (/dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyAMA0) depends if on-board Bluetooth is active. You can also use a GUI tool |
