Thanks, I'll look at that.

Hey Markwinger, what UI are you using to control the tuner?
Bluewave, do you plan to leverage any of the various user initiatives out here to integrate radio into OAP? People like Markwinger have been like trailblazers, surely this will help you with the radio feature!

I'm using one I got from 747developments.com called tea5767 radio ap. But the author has not shared the source and I have not been able to get a response from the author. It is written in c#, and I'm a retired c/c++ guy, I probably would have trouble doing it anyway.
So I'm thinking about doing my own in c++. If I can figure out how to use ofono api, I can do it exactly the way I want it. The tea5767 is very noisy so I going to try a si4703 board too.

Too bad that Bluewave remain silent on this topic.

As you may know, we already invest a lot of time in this topic. Tested several solutions in terms of SW and HW.
To keep things short: topic is more complicated that it looks like and requires investment into dedicated HW and later SW as well as testing. Some time ago we designed our prototype of the dev board for radio, however due to global component shortage we decided to put this project on hold. As always, Users are not blocked by us in creating, designing or developing their own solution. We would be more than happy to see that and get into cooperation with someone in this matter. You can find more info at forum. For instance: https://bluewavestudio.io/community/show...hp?tid=682&highlight=radio+fm

I have read through a lot of the thread you reference. I think there is more to this idea of "external audio device" . If you had the ability for Openauto to get an external audio source, that is controlled by the graphic eq, has volume and mute and is muted when a phone call is in progress, OA would be much more flexable. In this case I would simply connection the audio out from the tuner to the input of an audio card and it would work. An external ap would control the tuner.
But what about someone who has an Ipod, or some stand alone media player, or even a passenger with a phone with media on it(current not connected), could simply connect a cable from the device to OA and it works. The stereo in my cat that will eventually be replaced by OA has this feature.

Looking at ofono. I assume that since kodi does not support corking, it implements the ofono api to pause an resume?

Now I'm confused. I can find code in kodi(xbmc) that works with ofono. It does appear to support corking. So if I create.an external AP that mutes or pauses during a call, which way should I go? Will either way work?

Correction, can't find ofono code in Kodi.
