Hello,
I've purchased new gear to configure this as follows:
My initial frustration was that with the touchscreen plugged in I was not able to get enough power to connect to the phone, I have tried the factory cable as well as 3 separate usb-c cables to connect to the device(Samsung Galaxy S9)
I resolved this by connecting through the usb hub, which provides enough power to prevent the phone from constantly disconnecting. I still have a problem on usb at times with error:
I also note that alongside the above I am unable to modify the USB connection within Android to adjust the existing usb connection to Android Auto.
I was forced to edit the boot config to enable bluetooth
The expected behaviour is that when the usb is plugged into the phone android auto will open to a useable state and the phone will charge.
What is happening: The phone charges, Android auto opens to a black screen, not a useable state.
I have also purchased "Connected Pro", but will likely remove as it shouldn't be needed.
Sincerely,
Christopher
