Could OAP be installed on a raspbian lite without a graphical interface to improve the startup and speed of the system?

There is no standalone OAP installation.
We decided to deliver it as a part of regular Raspberry Pi OS, in order to provide more flexible options for the User.

And haven't you thought of doing it in a lighter version of the operating system?

Honestly there is no significant difference of boot time between Lite and Desktop versions of Raspberry PI OS. Half of the boot time is consumed by startup of SoC. Second half is consumed by startup of services that have to be run in both cases (e.g. network, Bluetooth). You can use systemd-analyze blame command to investigate startup time of services in your instance of the Raspberry PI OS.

We do not see any reason to reduce Rpi functionality/possibilities.
At the end there would be questions why we didn't use regular RPI OS. |
