Hello everybody, first post:
What Im using:
OpenAuto Pro 12
RPi 4
power source for now is type c laptop charger from an HP specter.
5" Elecrow IPS touch screen
Galaxy s10+ (latest OS)
Everything works fine on the Openauto side of things but when I try to connect my phone to my RPi head unit it detects the phone either wired or through bluetooth but the screen on the head unit just goes black and mostly unresponsive. I can still see and pull down the toolbar at the top right but I cant seem to get any further than that. A few times the connection has worked and I can access all the functions of Openauto but its not consistent.
I assumed that since most people are using the official 7" touch screen that maybe the resolution was a problem but when Openauto does connect to my phone resolution doesn't seem like the problem. I have done a number of searches and see that people are suggesting that the sound card might be the issue. I am not planning on using the head unit for music because my application is an old sportscar so it just doesn't make sense to use one when I cant even hear the radio with the engine noise (haha). Do you think that the lack of a soundcard is causing this issue? Why do you think it might intermittently work?
Im stumped so, if anybody wants to take me to school I am all ears ^_^
Thanks for any help you can provide.
